With their first store already up and running and a second in the works in Enka-Candler, Sheetz is quickly carving out a spot as a go-to brand in the Asheville area.
According to filings with the Henderson County planning office, the convenience chain is set to build this new location on the east side of Exit 53 along Upward Road, roughly ten miles south of their recently opened store off Asheville Highway.

The 18-acre parcel, purchased in 2004 by a South Carolina-based regional development company, is slated for subdivision to carve out space for Sheetz to build on. So far, there’s no word on any other businesses may join Sheetz at this intersection. This new convenience store comes on the heels of QuikTrip opening their store #1148 across the street approximately eleven months ago.
