Svitlana’s Kitchen to open permanent downtown location

Svitlana’s Kitchen, a mobile catering company specializing in Eastern European cuisine, is planning to open their first permanent location in downtown Asheville. Located at 37 Wall Street, Svitlana’s will take over the former location of Trade and Lore. Currently, the proposed business will be a combination bakery and coffee shop.

Although the company is known for its Eastern European fare, permitting documents filed with the City of Asheville indicate that no commercial cooking will occur on-site. Instead, food will be prepared in Svitlana’s off-site commissary kitchen.

While this new restaurant has not been officially announced, Svitlana’s present culinary offerings can be viewed on their website.
